Clean up your computer's act with Add or Remove Programs

1. Click the Start menu, and then select Control Panel.
2. From the Control Panel window, double click the Add or Remove Programs utility.

To Remove a Program:

1. Click the Change/Remove button.
   
   
   
   The wizard that opens will provide you with three options:
   • Modify
   • Repair
   • Remove
   
   
   
   
   
2. To remove a program, select the Remove option, and then work through the Wizard that appears:
   
   
   
   
3. Lastly, click Finish.
   
   
   
   

To Add Programs:

1. On the left hand pane of the Add or Remove Programs utility, select the Add New Program tab. This utility offers you two choices of installation: a program from a disk or CD and the option to install Windows Updates.
   
   
   
   

Add/Remove Windows Components

1. On the left hand pane of the Add or Remove Programs utility, select the Add New Program tab. For example, if I want to have Windows games on my computer:
2. Double click Accessories and Utilities option.
   
   
   
   
3. To have Windows games on your computer, check the box.
   
   
   
   
4. Lastly, click OK.

The Add or Remove Program as you have seen is extremely helpful, but must be used with caution because once you remove something, it’s gone.
