- Click Start and select the Control Panel.
- The next step differs with the set view in Windows XP:
- Classic View: click System, then, select the Automatic Updates tabs
- Category View: click Performance and Maintenance, click System, then click Automatic Update
- Lastly, click the desired option, being sure that Automatic Updates is not turned off, and then click OK.
